How Classes are Structured
Each 90 minute class offers an opportunity to improve in specific areas of wrestling. The first 10 minutes is a structured dynamic warmup. We typically instruct techniques, and have students drill them for about 45 minutes. We work from a structured curriculum designed to help kids learn the sport or improve upon things they've already learned. The next 15 minutes consist of repetition drills on specific techniques to develop muscle memory. The last 30 minutes is live wrestling, or sparring, where kids get to put what they've learned to the test. This is where kids can experiment with new techniques or perfect ones they already like.

Competition Opportunities
Competition isn't mandatory in our programs, but we highly recommend it for several reasons. Competing builds resilience and boosts confidence, while refining wrestling skills and instilling values of sportsmanship and character. It encourages goal setting, fosters camaraderie, and introduces your child to high-pressure situations, equipping them with essential life skills. Moreover, it provides a platform where the lessons learned in the club can be applied to real-life scenarios, helping your child become a better athlete and a more well-rounded individual.
Why is Wrestling Right For Your Child?
Wrestling is great for teaching kids valuable lessons with long term benefits.
Wrestling Teaches Valuable Life Skills...
Wrestling is an ideal sport for 3rd to 6th graders for several compelling reasons. First and foremost, it offers a level playing field for children of all body types due to the presence of weight classes. This inclusivity ensures that every child can participate and excel, regardless of their size or shape. Additionally, wrestling is a sport that fosters discipline, mental and physical
toughness, and resilience, traits that are valuable for youngsters as they develop and grow. It

promotes a strong work ethic and goal-setting, teaching them the importance of hard work and perseverance in achieving their objectives. In a supportive and encouraging environment, children not only build physical strength but also develop essential life skills that will benefit them well beyond their wrestling careers.
