Private Wrestling Lessons - All Ages

Private wrestling lessons provide a tailored approach to training, addressing your child's specific needs and goals. With one-on-one instruction, the focus is entirely on your child, enabling the instructor to identify strengths and weaknesses and design a training regimen that maximizes their potential. These personalized sessions not only accelerate skill development but also boost confidence, setting your child on a path to wrestling success.

Why Are Private Wrestling Lessons So Important to Quick Progress?

The Coach gets an opportunity to identify an individual's areas of need, and implement new techniques and repetition to turn them into strengths.

Coach's Goals for Private Wrestling Lessons

  • Pinpoint specific areas of weakness and develop a strategic plan for improvement.

  • Tailor training to focus on your child's unique needs, whether it's takedowns, escapes, or pins.

  • Fine-tune fundamental wrestling techniques to build a strong foundation.

  • Develop a deeper understanding of strategy, mat awareness, and situational tactics.

  • Boost self-assurance and self-belief both on and off the mat.

  • Review and analyze match footage to identify areas for improvement.

  • Enhance endurance, strength, and agility for peak wrestling performance.

  • Establish clear objectives and track progress toward achieving them.

Developing a Game Plan for  Lessons

At our school, the structure of private lessons is designed for exceptional results. It all starts with a comprehensive interview with the parent to gain insights into their child's specific needs and goals. This initial discussion helps us shape a tailored game plan from day one. In the first lesson, we evaluate the child's skillset through live situational wrestling to identify areas that require improvement. We also value the wrestler's input, encouraging them to express their aspirations and areas they believe need enhancement. Throughout the sessions, we actively engage parents by inviting them to share match videos for our expert analysis, enabling us to pinpoint real-match mistakes. This holistic approach ensures that we develop a personalized and comprehensive game plan, laying the groundwork for your child's wrestling success.

1) When booking, it's most beneficial to purchase 5 lessons for two reasons:

  • There's a large discount when you purchase a 5-pack of private lessons as opposed to single sessions. Even if you only plan to do 1 or 2 right now, the remaining lessons will be stored in your account for booking at a later date.

  • It's difficult to make tangible progress in 1 lesson, especially when the student is new to our club. For new students, first lesson is typically spent reviewing film, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and developing a game plan for future lessons.

2) Book all your lessons at once. Private lessons are in high demand, especially in the Fall & Summer. When possible, figure out a set weekly day and time that works for your family, and do one lesson per week at that time. This ensures that:

  • Your lessons are locked in and nobody else can book the time slot you'd like

  • We can adequately build from prior lessons because your child will retain the information from week to week. When there are large gaps between lessons, we may spend more time than necessary reviewing the building blocks of what we previously covered.
