 How These Classes are Structured

Each 45 minute class includes a warmup, basic athleticism drills, some very fundamental wrestling instruction, closely supervised wrestling with peers, and of course, fun games. This class is designed to be a fun way for toddlers to socialize, learn the capabilities of their bodies, and get an introduction to the sport. Eventually, kids filter into our 6-8 year old classes.

 Age 3-5 Practice Schedule

We meet on Sundays from 1:00 - 1:45pm. We've found that 45 minutes is the sweet spot for little attention spans. While we may add a second weekday class in the future, we've found that once a week is a great introduction to it all without overwhelming the kids.

 Watch an Actual Class Video

This video is from our last location and contains exercises from part 1 of an 8-part rolling curriculum. It's important that kids get repetition on some of these body movements to develop muscle memory. This will help them throughout their athletic careers.

 How These Classes are Structured

Each 60 minute class features a structured 10 minute dynamic warmup designed to teach kids body awareness and athleticism. We then move on to 30 minutes of learning and drilling basic techniques, followed by 15 minutes of live situational wrestling. In this phase of class, kids get to spar with their teammates and get an opportunity to put the things they've learned into practice. The last 5 minutes is a game to keep things fun.

 Age 6-8 Practice Schedule

This group practices 2-3 times a week. Practices are Monday and Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:00pm. On non-competition weekends, we have Sunday Open Mats from 2:00 - 3:30pm. These sessions include an opportunity for coaches to review film to develop individual growth plans.

This video is from our original location. But, the beauty of this warmup is that while small pieces change, it largely remains the same over time. Kids learn athleticism through these drills, which helps them become well rounded wrestlers & athletes.

 How These Classes are Structured

Each 90 minute class features the same warmup as previous class groups to ensure kids develop perfect technique with the drills. From there, we do a mixture of review/repetition on important concepts for 15-20 minutes per class, learn and drill new techniques for 20-30 minutes per class, wrestling live for 20-30 minutes, and occasionally play a game at the end (provided that the group's work ethic and class behavior was great).

 Age 9-12 Practice Schedule

This group practices 2-3 times a week. Practices are Monday and Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:30pm. On non-competition weekends, we have Sunday Open Mats from 2:00 - 3:30pm. These sessions include an opportunity for coaches to review film to develop individual growth plans.

 How These Classes are Structured

Each 90 minute class starts with the same dynamic warmup they've done all the way through the program to ensure perfection on basic skillsets. This class is much higher paced. As we grow physically, so does our capacity to endure difficult workouts. Kids will do 20-40 minutes of intense drilling per session, 15-40 minutes of live per session, 20-40 minutes of learning details & drilling them, and occasionally will get a game if they've showed hard work over a period of time.

 Ages 13-18 Practice Schedule

This group practices 2-3 times a week. Practices are Monday and Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:30pm. On non-competition weekends, we have Sunday Open Mats from 2:00 - 3:30pm. These sessions include an opportunity for coaches to review film to develop individual growth plans.

How It Works for the Girls

Girls do not have their own separated class. Rather, they join the co-ed group for their age. In all of the groups, there will be other females to practice with. For competition, they are able to compete in EITHER co-ed divisions, or the girls only divisions. The FHSAA has recently sanctioned girls wrestling, so once they hit high school age, they'll ONLY compete against other girls. In each practice group, they'll have other girls to work with.

 Fastest Growing Sport in America

Girl's Wrestling has experienced the quickest growth of any sport in the United States. In 2022, FHSAA sanctioned the sport at the HS level in Florida. Our team has embraced the girls since we opened in 2018. Between the 10+ girls on our squad, they've combined for 9 State Titles & over 25 State Medals between Youth & High School!
