Problem Solving

Wrestling teaches kids to figure out complex techniques and counter their opponents actions in real-time. It forces the brain to quickly interpret what's happening, and form fast reactions.

Hard Work

Wrestlers quickly learn to push past their comfort zone to achieve goals. It's known as the hardest sport for a reason. Kids will have fun, learn the value of hard work, and almost always come home exhausted.

Discipline

Learning new techniques, achieving goals, and winning matches requires a level of discipline that few sports can teach. Kids learn that their success is directly related to how much calculated effort they put in.

Trial & Error

"If at first you don't succeed..." has never been more true. Losing isn't fun, but it happens to every wrestler. Kids quickly learn that winning comes from fixing mistakes & working harder to improve.

What is Wrestling?

It's a 1 vs. 1 grappling sport in which two competitors battle for positioning aiming to score points or pin their opponent.

The beauty of our sport is age and weight classes, meaning any child of any body type, can learn and excel.

Competition is not mandatory, but it will help bring out the life lessons that our sport has to offer.

Why Wrestling?

Forbes Magazine published a famous article about how former wrestlers are the most sought after job candidates.

From a young age, wrestlers learn toughness, resilience, hard work, discipline, goal-setting, problem solving, and countless other important skills that set a foundation for a bright future.

It's also a wonderful way for kids to get cardiovascular exercise and make lifelong friends.

Ages & Times

Our regular classes are for children ages 5 through 18. We offer a K-6 beginners class, and a 7-12th class.

We also offer an all ages, all levels class on Sundays from 2:00 - 3:00pm.

There are undoubtedly many benefits of youth sports, but wrestling in particular gives a unique blend of strength, athleticism, and mental toughness. The kids gain an awareness of their body and how powerful it really is. Pair that with the great coaching of Grappling House's Staff and it's a no-brainer for me. We have been very pleased, and our kids absolutely love it!

It doesn't matter if you have experience or not. Grappling House has been there to teach my child responsibility, respect, courage, and a healthy lifestyle. Also, some really cool wrestling techniques along the way. The coaching staff will spend extra time with kids that need more work on certain skills. My daughter loves being a part of the Grappling House team!

The coaching staff's relatable instruction for each of our 3 boys, aged 6-15, with very different personalities, has been a reoccurring theme in our experience with Grappling House. We have seen positive changes in the little one's focusing abilities, the middle one has overcome anxiety and built confidence, and our eldest has established his OWN goals and structure for the future.
